Extended Vehicle Warranty Plans

Last Updated On: 07/01/2009

Extended vehicle warranty plans are very simple to understand. When you purchase extended warranty coverage you get additional coverage for parts that may need repair after the factory warranty expires.

An extended vehicle warranty plan has obviously a cost, but can end saving you a lot more than you pay for it.

The cost is directly connected to the type of plan you want to purchase; there are several types of coverage:

Bumper to Bumper:
Everything in your car is covered by the warranty and will be fixed / replaced if necessary. This warranty is included with any new vehicle purchase. Things like tyres, oil changes etc aremust be paid by the owner.
Powertrain:
This type of warranty covers the engine, driveshaft and transmission. Anything else on your car should fail, you'll have to pay for it to be fixed.
Full Extended Warranty Coverage:
This coverage is exactly as it sounds. Everything in your car is covered by the warranty. From the engine to the keyless entry system, from the transmission to the horn etc. You only have to pay for things like tires, oil and other consumptions and refills.
